Grigoris Konstantellos
Born in 1967 in Athens, the Mayor of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni has a multifaceted professional and academic background. He served as a reserve non-commissioned officer in the Army Aviation and obtained a degree as an Air Traffic Controller. He holds multiple academic titles, including a PhD from the International School of Management in Paris, as well as master’s degrees in Air Transport Management, Strategic Security Studies, and Human Capital Management. He has extensive experience in the aviation sector, having worked as a Flight Operator and an executive at Olympic Airways from 1987 to 2009, while also participating in United Nations peacekeeping missions as an aircraft captain.
He has been actively involved in Local Government since 1990 and has been continuously elected as Mayor of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni since 2014, securing over 70% of the vote in the first round. At the same time, he serves as the First Vice President of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE) and is a member of multiple administrative and executive boards of organizations in Greece and Europe.
